Marco Lalli studied psychology at the University of Heidelberg. The focus of his studies was on environmental psychology and research methods. He received a PhD at the Darmstadt University of Technology in the field of social psychology and decision theory. He is a member of the professional organisation of German social and market researchers (BVM Berufsverband Deutscher Markt- und Sozialforscher e.V.).

After many years in different functions at several German universities, Marco Lalli became a self-employed consultant in 1994. Since the beginning of 2002 he is the sole owner and CEO of the sociotrend GmbH – a society for social research, method development and statistics. Marco Lalli is the author of various national and international publications in the field of social and environmental psychology.

Marco Lalli supports research institutes and companies with his methodical expertise in the planning, execution and evaluation of quantitative market research and social research studies. In addition to the traditional spectrum of multivariate statistical analysis methods, pricing procedures and in particular methods for conjoint-analyses are in the focus of his work. Furthermore, Marco Lalli is a renowned expert in the field of evaluation projects (program and process evaluation) and for the preparation and

monitoring of "Corporate-identity"-programmes. Additional spheres of his work that are worth mentioning include employee surveys, image analyses, the development of target group models and segmentation models.

He gathered extensive professional experience regarding the automotive industry, medical engineering, tele-communications, banking & financial services, power producers,
beverages, food, luxury goods as well as media.
